The Volkswagen Club of Southern Tasmania was formed in 1960. In 1979 the Club was renamed The Volkswagen Association of Tasmania under the Presidency of Nino Bocchino.
The Association caters for the social and common interest of Volkswagen enthusiasts, of all ages, with models ranging from restored early beetles of the fifties to transporters, Kombi's, Type III's, Karmann Ghia's, Golfs, Polo's and Passats through to a wide range of models of the modern era.
The Association Calendar allows for a function each month with breakfast drives, scenic drives, navigation events, social evenings over a counter meal or a night at the Go Karts and Baskerville Days. We endeavour to meet up with the Volkswagen Club of Northern Tasmania Inc where we travel to meet for lunch and chat. The highlight of our year is the Show & Shine followed by our Christmas Party.
Meetings are held quarterly and our newsletter is distributed approximately two weeks after the meeting to members, sponsors and interstate clubs.
